On the horizon for strange people 2011-2012

So of course Heart String Marionette the film is being completed...

I wrote the first rough draft of the Heart String Marionette fairy tale book yesterday and I'll keep working on that... at its core the story IS a fairy tale AND for some reason writing in that style is very natural for me...so yeh I'm excited about the illustrated fairy tale book...

"Project Sooperman" is now known as "BADASSERY"... I thought the name needed to be simpler and I heeded Dave4096's advice from the comments about being sued by DC ^_^  So I'm preppin the kickstarter pitch for that to do 5 new episodes... then based on how that goes I will or will not produce a feature film version....

I'm outlining a live action absurd comedy/monster/horror feature to be shot on a small island in Iceland within the next 2 years... its an idea that's been brewing for awhile and now the affordable tech is up to the level I need it to be to do a high quality live action feature for a low budget..... it would be a fun project shot over 3 months next summer hopefully... I've spent a fair amount of time in Iceland and there's several really awesome creepy locations that have never been used in any non documentary films... So I'll be working on prepping that....

Over the years I've made a lot of things... in different types of media.... weird mixed media animation...music... etc... and it was fun to do those things but they didn't really do anything as far as pushing my career forward with any great momentum so I'm re-analyzing my work... re-analyzing my "brand"... Because sometimes its NOT the message its the MEDIUM... I could be saying the same thing BUT in the wrong medium so I'm going to try some others... as long as I'm learning things and as long as its fun I see it as all a part of the journey....

We grow stagnant when we get too comfortable so I want to venture out of my comfort zone creatively... So along with animation...both "serious" long form stuff like HSM and "stupid" shorts like BADASSERY... I'm going to make a live action feature.... a fairy tale book... and I might even write a novel ^_^

And of course I'm prepping my next "serious" animated feature as well.....

Since its uncomfortable I'm going to keep making my crappy art as well ^_^

Making HEART STRING MARIONETTE has caused a huge breakthrough for me both technically and creatively so now I can pay no attention to the tech or workflow crap now.... and just focus on raising money for the projects and then realizing them...
