I started a new game dev podcast ++
I started the Game Dev Grit podcast so I could talk to other developers about the most difficult parts of development in hopes of finding some new solutions to the problems-
You can find it at the site linked above or through Anchor or Spotify (Click listen in your favorite app for Spotify etc)
I'm using this site called Anchor to host/distribute the podcast- its so easy to use I'm considering doing another podcast called "Diary of a strange man" where I'll talk about things with myself or whoever I encounter everyday and turn it into a podcast-
In other news- work on my big game is going GREAT- I'm working on the first playable level right now with graphics/sound/music and everything- its pretty awesome ^_^
I'm updated the graphics since I put out that trailer for the intro cinematic as those visuals are updated now too-
The style of the game has ended up becoming.... STR8NIME! Anyone remember that? ^_^
I have this weird sort of creation amnesia- I forgot about the things I've made- I found myself integrating low poly 3d with 8 bit art and I thought too myself "I think I've done this before?!" I had to go watch We Are The Strange so I could remember how I did that style before... because I forgot 0_0
The STR8NIME in this game is a much more refined version- its going to be so awesome- you just wait!
Also- My wife and I have been talking about doing the third DOTTIR album- got an awesome concept for it and I'm excited to start on it when I get a chance-
Things have just been busy- the days are flying by- so much to do for this game-
I do the same thing everyday- get up- check my internet stuff- workout - cold shower - work for 2 hours- take the cats outside to play while I have a beer(ASAHI extra dry((I wish it was extra-cold as well but I don't have that magical machine they use in Japan))- work a few more hours- dinner- work for a few more hours- watch some stuff online- sleep
Since I'm trying to be better at being a human being- every Sunday we go to a park and hike and/or do something active and outside- get away from all the madness of a California "big city" in 2019-
Here's a photo so you can see that I'm still alive- yes, people can manage to be alive even if they don't have a phone or social media-
I'll have new stuff from my game in a month or two- I plan to release the intro(first 4 areas) of the game within 6-
Best,
M doTs
