That is one hour of ai generated cartoons created by Nightmare Puppeteer which is our “game” that makes animations.
At this stage the dialogue/story is totally random. I’m now working on gen2 in which the actors will hold conversations that stay on topic.
Then in gen3 there will be whole narratives supported by the camera work, music etc- essentially a weird movie studio in a box. Right now the camera work is random- but yeh going to build a system where it all support the “story”
For the conversation system I’m woking on now I created a really simple dialogue template shorthand that looks like this-
One time I saw this [adj] [n] by a [n]
This [n] had the [adj]ist [n] I have ever seen[!]
I looked at them while I [v]d for [time]
So its procedurally generated but the templates are created/guided by the hand of a human filmmaker/writer etc. I use my creativity when creating the templates to maximize absurdity/comedy/etc.
The templates are used to generate lines of dialogue at runtime- in the new system it stores dialogue variables in a really simple way to that conversations can remain on topic.
Right now the plan is to create a good number of templates myself then publish the template specs so any NP user can create/add/share their dialogue templates inside Nightmare Puppeteer-
Also I plan to add programming commands in the dialogue templates so the procedural dialogue will be able to call methods and do things in the scenes etc-
I’m really excited about this stuff 0_0
I believe ai generated animations/films to be the future of MOST of the media as humans are losing/have lost their creativity and all they can seem to create is boring, predictable, “pc”, derivative mush.
Human creators are so afraid of possibly hurting someones feelings and/or are so stuck on “monetization” they don’t take any risks in what they create.
My ai is edgy and takes tons of risks…
My ai DGAF, it will not censor itself and it will always surprise you ^_^
As always I’m…..
btw: I plan to get better at the open source ethos as I think its so great- I’m going to do my best to open source any/all of my tools I’m building for this stuff-
